Breastfeeding, especially in public, is one such topic that has generated a wide range of perspectives. One woman published a photo of herself that received a lot of conflicting responses.
Breastfeeding Goes Viral
One of the most important ways to make sure a baby is properly fed is to breastfeed. “I never want to forget (show my daughter in the future) the lengths we, as mothers, will go to when ensuring our kids are well looked after no matter the situation,” Trinati said, asking her son to shoot the photo.
“I don’t expect all men or people who have never breastfed to understand how mothers can tolerate straight-up acrobatics or nipple-pinching while nursing,” the woman went on. People have given me the weirdest looks and uncomfortable giggles when they see my 1.5-year-old sucking while standing on my lap—sometimes even on one leg!
Commenting on the Criticism
Even though she receives a lot of negative feedback from the public, her loved ones also tease her, saying things like, “You’ll be breastfeeding until your daughter is in kindergarten.” However, because she intends to breastfeed “for as long as (her daughter) needs,” she is not deterred.
Additionally, she mentioned that she wished to dispel the stigma associated with nursing in public. Some people contend that it’s improper since it can make her appear sexualized in public. On the other hand, Trinati cried out, “Really? Have you SEEN women nursing? My nipples are not at all what someone would imagine themselves dreaming about! Ha!
“These are udders right now,” she went on. Get past yourself! I’m not attempting to snag your partner with these naughty girls! They no longer feel like a sexual component of my body to me. They currently belong to my child to provide both physical and emotional nutrition. In addition, several mothers have openly expressed their opinions or posted images of themselves nursing. “My baby’s needs come way before anyone else attempted to make me feel inappropriate for this sometimes-public act of nourishing and/or comforting my children,” Trinati said in an attempt to clarify.
